Rayzor’s Romances: Grand Moff Tarkington (part 3)

RoR Romances

DISCLAIMER: Everything told in this story is from my, Rayzor’s point of view, I changed the names of the parties involved to protect their identities.

One day I came in to work and she was leaving.  She tried walking past me without and word, but I had to stop her.  Something was wrong.  She just quit working for Toys r Us.  She didn’t want to tell me, we were days from New Year’s eve and I thought we were going to Godfather’s parry together and I knew her time after was limited.  I told her we can work it out.  But she insisted it was for the best.  She told me, “I do not want to start a new year that I cannot finish with you.”  She walked away and out the door.  I stood there in the middle of a toy store, kind of heart broken.

New Years eve 2002 came and my friend Edgar and I were both single.  Both being thrown through the gauntlet of seasonal dating and both getting beaten by the girl we cared a lot about.  We were at Godfather’s house and while he and the others partied, Edgar and I rang in the new year together watching all three Back to the Future movies in Godfather’s theater room.

I vowed to never have another seasonal fling again after Tracy.  This one hurt, so bad.  Edgar on the other hand didn’t learn from this as he continued to pursue the girl who hurt him.  It was a few months but I eventually got an email Tracy.  It was strange, but we would chat and email back and forth.  I never pursued anything or even told her how she hurt me.  I left it at that and she slowly faded away and by the end of 2003, I met my future wife.

I did look up Tracy on facebook a few months back.  I had every intention of telling her I was writing this article and I still haven’t.  It has been 12 years.  She is married and has a kid, I’m married and have kids.  Besides in asking permission or making it known, I got 1 response of 2 people I told.  Ellen responded, Mrs. ESTERHOUSE did not.  She will forever be in my heart and kind of, one that got away.  Wow…

I’m 35 years old now and I have a fantastic memory.  I so love to talk about my eventful past.  I am happily married and she knows I am doing this.  I look back on the first 3 years of my 20s as some of the best moments of my life before my wife.

Thanks for reading.  I’m not sure how many more of these will be coming.  I do have a lot of stories to come.  Merry Christmas everyone, if you not with the one you love, love the one you’re with.  Have a great Christmas season and Rayzor’s Romances will return the first week of January.
