I am a big collector. For over 20 years I have collected all kinds of things. In the mid-1990s Kenner/Hasbro released the Power of the Force Star Wars figures and I was in. From there it was over for me, I jumped in as an obsessed Star Wars fanboy. I have always loved Star Wars and I had always been sad all of my “toys” disappeared throughout the years. When I was younger, I had so many Star Wars, He-man and G.I. Joe figures. Over the years, I lost them in moves and who knows where. It is sad because I look at collections online or even some friends collections and I see the things I once had. I wonder if being a collector goes back to my days of leaving things behind. A lot of my friends got to keep their things, I lost nearly everything. I don’t know, but I enjoy collecting, even if I have backed off on certain things. I have kids and can’t buy toys for myself. I have given my son a lot of different things, he deserves them.
This is going to possibly be a series showcasing my collection. In this edition I have two videos showing off my Horror DVD/Blu Ray collection and my Trade Paperback/Graphic Novel collections. This is the easiest way to start, considering how much stuff, yeah stuff, that I have. I take pride of both of these collections and they are ever growing. I love watching horror movies and reading comics, so much good stuff out there. You will find a lot of Batman trades and a ton of Star Wars, all Dark Horse.
As for the Horror movies, I counted, 424 different horror movies at the time of the video. Oddly enough, my collection of A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Halloween take up 15% of all of my collection. I am a numbers guy, so you can understand.
